Q.1. Who made you? God made me.

Q.3. Why did God make you and all things? For his own glory.

Q.4. How can you glorify God? By loving him and doing what he commands.

Q.21. How do you know that you have a soul? Because the Bible tells me so.

Q.24. What is sin? Sin is either neglecting to do what God requires or doing what God forbids.

Q.25. What was the sin of our first parents? In eating the forbidden fruit, they disobeyed God.

Q.26. Who tempted them to this sin? The devil tempted Eve, and she gave the fruit to Adam.

Q.38. How could the Son of God suffer in our place? Christ, the Son of God, became man that he might obey and suffer in our nature.

Q.39. What is meant by the Atonement? Christ’s satisfying divine justice, by his sufferings and death, in the place of sinners.

Q.40. What did God the Father undertake in the covenant of grace? To save sinners from the guilt, power and presence of sin.

Q.41. How does God the Father bring a sinner to repentance? By effectually calling him through the gospel.

Q.42. What is justification? It is God forgiving sinners, and treating them as righteous, for the sake of Christ.

Q.43. What is adoption? It is God taking sinners into his family and treating them as his children.

Q.44. What is sanctification? It is God making sinners holy in heart and conduct.

Q.45. What benefits come from justification, adoption and sanctification? The benefits are assurance of God’s love, peace, joy, and perseverance to the end.
